According to the guidance issued by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, a prescription may be issued to a patient's representative (proxy) only under the following circumstances:The patient is unconscious.All of the following conditions are met:The patient is unable to visit the clinic due to significant mobility limitations.The patient has been receiving continuous treatment for the same medical condition.The patient has been taking the same medication(s) for an extended period.The following patients who are unable to visit the clinic due to their circumstances may also be eligible:Individuals incarcerated in correctional facilitiesPatients with severe mental illnessOlder adults with dementiaPlease note: Meeting the above criteria does not automatically guarantee that a proxy prescription will be issued.
